Put simply, we offer three different policy options…
1. Travel Insurance
Our worldwide Sport Travel Insurance can cover you whilst cycle touring abroad for leisure or competition, and includes cover for medical and repatriation costs, trip cancellation and curtailment, and more.
2. Travel Insurance Bolt-On
If you have a travel insurance policy with another provider, such as your bank, but it does not include cover for cycle touring, we can provide a bolt-on style of protection under our Activity TopUp policy.
3. Sports Accident Insurance
Our Sports Accident Insurance is designed to protect you for cycle touring in the UK. Our policy provides a range of benefits including cover for serious injury, and if selected, will include income protection.

What is equipment cover for your bike?
We can cover your sports equipment during your trip or any equipment which you’ve hired on your trip.

Not always, some policies will only include cover for recreational cycling. Our policy can cover a large range of cycling activities including road cycling, downhill mountain biking, and cycle touring.
You can insure you bike whilst on holiday by adding equipment cover to your policy. We provide up to £5,600 in equipment cover, which will protect your bike and any related equipment should it get stolen or lost whilst on holiday.
Yes, our Cycle Touring Insurance can generally be taken out even if you have a medical condition. We can almost always offer cover at no extra cost, but occasionally our underwriters may apply special terms if you subsequently needed to make a claim relating to your condition.
Our policies will cover anyone up to the age of 74 at the time of purchase. An applicant aged 75 or over cannot be covered.
The cost of your cycle touring insurance will depend on the level of cover you require. We can offer bronze, silver and gold cover levels to suit your budget and extent of cover.
Our cycle touring policy will cover your bike under sports equipment, if it’s stolen. You will need to have taken reasonable precaution to secure your bike to ensure it’s covered. During your trip you will also be covered to hire equipment if yours has been stolen so you can still participate in planned activities.
Yes, our cycle touring travel policy covers you should you need to cancel a trip due to serious illness or injury that prevents you travelling.
Under our policy regions are divided into 3 zones Zone 1, 2 and 3. When you get a quote, please specify which zone you will be travelling to ensuring you have selected the right cover.

If the Foreign Office has advised against travel to a specific country, we are not able to cover you.
An e-bike is covered under cycle touring travel insurance provided the bike meets EACP regulations, maximum travel is 20mph and maximum 250W.
Yes, you are covered to take part in group tours, provided this is within your policy date schedule.
Yes, our Cycle Touring Insurance can cover multi-country cycle tours providing you are staying within the zone selected when taking out the policy.
Yes, emergency medical evacuation is provided within remote areas except in territories not mapped on maps issued by the nearest local authority or in areas more than one-hundred and fifty (150) kilometres from the nearest habitation.

Yes, our Specialist Sports Equipment benefit under our Sports Travel policy can provide cover up to £5,600.
We can cover for cycling events or races, please ensure you select the relevant cycling activity when taking out the policy ensuring it does not exclude competitions or events.

Our Specialist Sports Equipment benefit under our Sports Travel policy can cover for hiring replacement equipment, the value of the damaged equipment or the cost of repair, whichever is less, up to the limit in the policy benefits section of your schedule.
The maximum amount of coverage we can offer under our Specialist Sports Equipment benefit within the Sports Travel policy is £5,600.
Yes, our Cycle Touring Sports Travel and Activity TopUp policies can cover for personal liability claims up to £2,000,000.
