Put simply, we offer three different policy options…
1. Travel Insurance
We provide a Sports Travel Insurance which will cover you for taking part in Ironman events around the world. The policy includes cover for medical and repatriation costs, trip cancellation and more.
2. Travel Insurance Bolt-On
If you have a travel insurance policy with another provider, such as your bank, but it does not include cover for taking part in Ironman events, we can provide a bolt-on style of protection.
3. Sports Accident Insurance
Our Sports Accident Insurance is designed to protect you for taking part in Ironman events in the UK. Our policy provides personal accident, and can include additional income protection.

How much does ironman triathlon insurance cost?
Our ironman travel insurance varies depending on length of trip, if you opt for single or an annual policy, plus the level of cover you select, either bronze, silver or gold.

Are Ironman Events considered an extreme sport?
Ironman Triathlons fall under sports group 2 out of 7, and as such are not considered amongst the riskiest activities. However, as with many endurance sports, athletes competing in these events are pushing their bodies to the limits and it is not unheard of for even the fittest of competitors to get into difficulties.
If you plan to take part in an ironman triathlon, it is important to ensure you are properly prepared in all aspects, including in the event that you require medical assistance. Our Sports Travel Insurance policy provides up to £5,600 worth of equipment cover as an optional add-on. This not only protects your equipment but also any gear you hire, including bikes.
Yes, our Insurance can generally be taken out even if you have a medical condition. We can almost always offer cover at no extra cost, but occasionally our underwriters may apply special terms if you subsequently needed to make a claim relating to your condition.
Our policies will cover anyone up to the age of 74 at the time of purchase. An applicant aged 75 or over cannot be covered.
